Terms of Service

Who these terms are with
These terms are an agreement between you and Mikhail Konkov, an individual sole trader (autónomo) established in Spain (“we”, “us”), reachable at support@source-lm.com.
“The extension” means the Chrome extension Source LM (source-lm). “The site” means this website, source-lm.com. By installing or using the extension you accept these terms.
What the extension does
The extension adds sources to a NotebookLM / Gemini Notebook notebook you have open in your browser: a JSON dataset split into a batch of Markdown files, YouTube videos from the page you are on, or the current page or a pasted link as a single source. It also adds a batch-delete control to the notebook’s own Sources panel. It runs entirely in your browser, in your own signed-in Google session, and there is no server of ours involved. What it reads and stores is described in the Privacy Policy.
The code, and the licence on it
The extension’s source code is published source-available under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0: you may read, use, and modify it for noncommercial purposes under the terms of that licence, which governs the code and prevails over this section for anything to do with it. It is deliberately shipped unminified.
This is not OSI-approved open source, and the extension is not free software or MIT-licensed. Commercial use of the code requires a separate agreement.
The free plan
The free plan allows 5 bulk actions per calendar month, shared across every place the extension offers one — a bulk JSON upload, more than one video selected in the popup, or more than one video added from the in-page YouTube dialog. One bulk action is one click of Upload or Add, however many files or records it produces. The counter resets on the 1st of the month, in your own timezone.
Adding a single source — one page, one link, one video — and deleting sources are always free and never metered. The paid boundary is bulk, not features.
The Pro licence
A Pro licence costs $29, one time. It is not a subscription, there is nothing recurring to cancel, and there is no account to manage.
- The licence is personal to you and non-transferable. Do not publish, share, or resell your licence key.
- Activation registers a per-device instance with the payment provider, and the extension re-checks the licence roughly every seven days. If a check cannot reach the provider — you are offline, for instance — the licence keeps working for up to 30 days before it stops counting as active. You can deactivate a device from the extension’s popup.
- A licence covers the extension’s paid features as they exist at the time of purchase. Features may change; see “Availability” below.
Payment
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record for the sale: they handle checkout, invoicing, and any sales tax or VAT, and their terms apply to the transaction itself. We never see or store your card details. These terms govern your use of the software.
Refunds
You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase by writing to support@source-lm.com. No explanation is required, and the licence is deactivated when the refund is issued.
If you are a consumer in the EU, this reflects your statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts, and nothing here limits any statutory right you have.
What we ask of you
- Use the extension only with notebooks and accounts you are entitled to use, and comply with Google’s terms for NotebookLM / Gemini Notebook. Your relationship with Google is yours; we are not a party to it.
- Only upload material you have the right to upload. You keep all rights in your own content — it never passes through us — and you are responsible for what you add to a notebook.
- Do not use the extension for anything unlawful, and do not use it to circumvent access controls on material you are not entitled to.
- Do not share licence keys, tamper with the licence check, or attempt to defeat the free plan’s metering.
Availability, and what is not promised
The extension works through interfaces of NotebookLM / Gemini Notebook that Google does not publish or support, and can change at any time, without notice. When that happens, the extension may break, degrade, or stop working until it is updated. We will try to keep up, but cannot promise a fix every time.
We do not promise uptime, uninterrupted operation, continued compatibility with NotebookLM or Gemini Notebook, or that any particular feature will keep existing. We may change, add, or remove features, and we may stop distributing or maintaining the extension. That risk is the honest reason the price is one-time rather than recurring: you are not paying for a service we run, because we do not run one.
No warranty
The extension and the site are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
If you are a consumer, your statutory guarantees under EU and Spanish consumer law apply regardless of this section, and nothing here removes them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the extension, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the amount you paid for your licence in the twelve months before the claim.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of profits. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
Back up anything you cannot afford to lose. The extension writes to your notebooks and can delete sources when you tell it to.
Ending it
You can stop at any time: uninstall the extension, and these terms end with it.
We may terminate a licence if it is shared, resold, or used to circumvent the licence check or the free plan’s limits, or if the extension is used unlawfully. Where a termination is not your fault — for instance, if we stop distributing the extension entirely — nothing here affects a refund you are entitled to under consumer law.
No affiliation with Google
This is an independent, unofficial tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Google. NotebookLM and Gemini are Google trademarks, used here only to describe what the extension works with.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date at the top, and continued use after that means you accept them. If you do not, stop using the extension — and if a change materially disadvantages you within the refund window, the refund section still applies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Spain. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
